Wild west witch hunt… It’s El Cazador de la Bruja

And finally i managed to finish off el cazador. Third installment in Bee Train’s “girls with guns” trilogy El Cazador is the story of a girl named Ellis, who finds herself on the run from the so called Hunters of the underground society due to being a suspect of a murder. She meets up with a bounty hunter named Nadie who offers her help and guidance to pursue the truth of her past. But now she’s also being targeted by the Hunters and so their quest for the truth begins. [description taken from AniDB as usual] If u watched Noir and Madlax u also should enjoy this one. It have more relation to Madlax then to Noir as we here have a girl with some special “abilities”, not like in Noir the perfect assasin. But on the other hand this one is more clear then Madlax at the end and u can follow the story easier. Also the music made me often think of Noir as there are some tunes that i suspect beeing identical. Also nice is this time the place where the story take part. Its not future, city or similar, no, this time it take place in a desert environment. As it plays in the US (considering the later data) i would say somewhere in Texas probably. This is a quite unique environment compared to the usual ones. It gives the anime a fresh and not so worn-off taste in case of the scenario. Our characters also get linked together more and more while the story goes on and the end is somehow more relaxed then i had imagined but that should not mean its bad. It was ok and the last episode also made me laugh a bit as they reuse some characters in it u might have forgotten over time while watching this anime. Also it was again intresting to see how much a character can tell one without using words. I can only say Lirio fascinated me. I was a good character design, i liked it. As I said the people who enjoyed Noir and/or Madlax should have fun on this one, and who dont know any of these at all could use this and try if he can have fun with such stuff.

I didnt added the op/ed this time as it not show much of the anime it self but rather shows different stuff. Different as it is like it tells a own story or show something thats meant in a brought forward meaning (i hope it gets through what i try to say). At least the ending do.

rentable magic from Astral… wasn’t it called "Rental Magica" ? ;)

Its the first series i spend the time i found in my week off from work on. It is based on a light novel series by Sanda Makoto, illustrated by pako. Itsuki Iba is the cowardly president of a ‘for hire’ magic company called Astral. Always in need of money, Itsuki’s company rents out magicians to perform misc jobs. His company features many magic schools such as Solomon (Demon Magic), Shinto (Prayer Magic), Onmyodou (Spirit Magic) and Celtic (Ritual/Paper Magic). Not the only company out there looking for work, but Itsuki’s company has an ‘ace’ in the hole which happens to be Itsuki himself. If things become more than they can handle, Itsuki will remove his eye patch. As a side note, most of these people are grade schoolers and 2 of them happen to be classmates of Itsuki’s. [description stolen as always from AniDB.] It was a good anime but with a little weak ending (sadly). What i quite liked was that we here got not only the typical japanese “magic” but also western stuff like Honamis Celtic Magic, which also is a type of magic i dont remember seeing before in any anime i watched. Also new to me was Adelicias Solomon magic, which is basically a type of demon magic but still different to the usual type. Through she need to have a special item i rather woudn’t it call demon magic but summoning magic as she calls her servants as she needs them. Also u get a little love triangle in this series but i guess that is used to add a little spice and comedy to this series. I hope they give us a 2nd Season as i still have some stuff that i want to know, most of it small things but well. The end was a bit weak to me as it was rather short and not well prepared enough as the story reveals. It feels a bit too sudden.

I choose the net trailer, as it is longer and so shows more of the actual show.

Himawari!, a funny ninja anime

Kasumi Kogen, the so called Village of Mist, is a town located somewhere in a tasteful and rural place in Japan. In this town, there is a training school. Surprisingly, it is the Sinobi Gakuen, a training school of kunoichi, or the female ninja. It gathers competent students from all over Japan to train them to become kunoichi. Needless to say, the villagers are alumni of the school, and they run and jump, appear and disappear, as if the whole town were a big ninja house. To this strange town, there came a girl and a man. The girl is Himawari who wants to be a ninja and respect “Ichikawa Raiso” as her master, and she came here to enter Shinobi Gakuen. The man is a new assigned teacher Marikoji Hayato. He was deceived into paying money and came here to repay his debts. They encounter in this Village of Myst. Whether their encounter is by chance or inevitable? A teacher and his student. Forbidden Love? Other students like Azami, Skimi, Himeji, Yusu wait and see their situation secretly. Whether can Himawari become a full-fledged Kunoichi? Whether can she protect her master? Well i must say usually i dont like ninja animes too much but this one was just hilarious. The mix between the characters is pretty good done as u have the stupid one, the “superpower” ones and the victim that gets targeted by the stupid one^^. It reminded me somehow on 2×2=Shinobuden! where u had a bit similar constellation (a ninja setting, a complete failed ninja, etc). Its quite enjoying to see what Himawari will undergo to please her “master”. I think if u like the ninja comedy type this should me a nice funny series. There is also a 2nd season coming as the first one i here speak about have 12 episodes and much stuff left to make fun of. Sadly it seems that the english fansub group that have picked the 2nd season dont really make progress… sigh. Well lets hope and see. Here is the opening since i couldnt get a hold of the promo yet, but it should help to give u an idea how the chars look like and stuff.

Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo!, where the girls protect the boys or how was it again??

The Anime Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! is based on a light novel series by Iwata Hiroki.Nice to meet you. My name is Yoshimura Mamoru and today is supposed to be the start of my new life. From now on I`ll be attending a high school which is attached to the prestigious Tokyo Beatrice University.Right when I arrived at the school full of expectations, this is where I met her, under the scattering storm of cherry blossoms. I could do nothing but gaze at an fantastic spectacle. The name of the beautiful girl before me was Takasu Ayako. And suddenly she confessed to me… However, little did I know what awaited me after I accepted this stunning offer. She was in reality a rich and spoiled princess who moreover was the genius in control of the Tokyo Beatrice University and this is how my days of a love comedy began. Thats how is starts from Mamoru’s point of view. The series itself is a school comedy series with some usual elements but the funny aspect that Ayako is the one who protect Mamoru most of the time. Usually u have the boy play the holy knight and getting beaten up for his beloved girl^^. Its kinda funny how they let Ayako be the protector but also the one thats always a bit unsure and feel unsecure how to do something that have relation to stuff a couple usually do. I think someone who enjoys school comedy/romance series should also enjoy this one also ppl who dont usually watch such series could give this one a try. I personally had much fun on it, and u find also some lil’ parodies here and there like that Jigoku Shoujo one on her usual sentense “ippen shinde miru?”. Have fun,

Umisho – a ecchi swim anime, not too bad

I just finished watching Kenkoo Zenrakei Suieibu Umishou, an anime with the main topic swimming. The story is about a student named Kaname Okimura which attends to the Prefectoral Umineko Shougyou High (short “Umisho”). He joined the swimming club in order to learn how to swim but he has bad luck since the club is filled with weirdos. Then later a always-happy girl named Amuro Ninagawa get transfered from Okinawa to the Umisho and joins the swim club. She has extraordinary underwater swimming skills and is very fast. Also her style of swimming is unorthodox, and she have a habit for nude-swimming (its ecchi, ya know  ), which is attract the boys. All this together surprise the club members especially Okimura, because she reminds him on a mermaid-like create he saw once in his childhood. His all create a very funny anime. U got many known elements of a good ecchi anime combined with a unusual story. (at least i dont remember a swim anime like this^^) Who plans to watch should dont have probs with boob-shots and boob-related jokes/stuff, since this gets a lot used in it instead of the normal panty shots, but in swimming gear is no panty so well… I had a lot fun on Makio, a first year student that really easy belive stuff/get hyped easy and always search for a way to grow her boobs^^. she is wonderful clumpsy, but u got also much more funny chars like the team-captain that have a habit for shaving ppl (no matter which grender^^) or Shizuka, a ojou-san that is outside very prude but inside^^. What i also enjoyed was that they dont added not story-related stuff like school life and stuff… the story concentrate on its topic, swimming. So u see them at the pool, the ocean or later at the tournaments. If u enjoy ecchi, u should give this one a try, its quite funny. Here is the trailer, maybe it shows/explain it a bit better to u then me.

Japan asks us to stop illegal anime downloads ? wtf?

When I read these article on AnimeNewsNetwork, I just thought “WTF?”. I mean… we promote their works, we bring fans knowledge about the anime’s that come from there. I guess if we fansubbers wouldn’t fansub, not half of the ppl (including me) would watching today anime. If U ask me, the Japanese company’s should search for another way to get money instead of punishing fansubbers for their losses. They should more look at what they release… the anime lately remind me sometimes on massproduction… its often similar to something U already saw and in cases of quality… well we should discuss that elsewhere. Also there is lots of anime like GitS for example, where they if they’re that scared of fansub’s should simply release it at the same time as in japan at least in the us or not even in all other big country’s. There are series like that which U can blind release without thinking about the ppl buying it, cause they WILL buy it, no matter what. No, punishing the fansubbers for their own faults is definitely the wrong way, also if they keep going that way they only make the fans mad. Declaring war to fansubbers is like declaring war to fans or better said your customers. There lots of series which I never would have bought without seeing them as fansub’s before. I will continue fansubbing whatever comes!

the reason for Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

i found the clip again that made me watching Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. its a really funny anime about a teacher that always try to commit scuide but always fail. In his way of thinking there is nothing like hope or meaning to one’s existance. Even his name (which consists of 3 kanjis) can becompress to the 2 kanji word zetsubou which means “despair”. It gets really funny when he becomes teacher of the class which inhabits the extreme opposite of him, the invincibly positive-minded Fuura Kafuka. I can really say so far i have lots of fun with it.

The clip is from the end of episode 04. Dont think its just a anime about perverted ppl in japan or such. It holds very much parodies and hidden stuff. If u want to watch like me the a.f.k. fansub then u should have a fair knowlage of anime and also some japanese stuff. If u dont have u should still have fun but not that much as if u know about it^^.
