A video truly benefitting Haruhi. It nicly show her “own” ways accomplished by a perfectly matching song. Its sad that her ways aren’t too strong shown in the anime compared to the novel. Oh well, thats it for now. I hope you enjoy those little videos like I did.

Saitama prefecture (home of the anime Lucky Star) is currently considering a proposal that should make the schoolgirls of the prefecture wearing school uniforms which follow the design of the ones found in the hit anime “Lucky Star”. Here are are more pictures, one from the Uniform and one from Lucky Star.

The “Prefectural Anime Tourism Investigative Commission” came up with the idea behind this and also submitted this proposal. They’re a group of professional in the anime/manga industry which thinks when this is taking place it should definitly help to boost the popularity of Saitama for anime/manga orientated tourism. That would result in even more money for the local economey as they already earn with other stuff in this direction. Also they plan more meetings to find futher ways to improve the anime/manga tourism in the region. The final results can be awaited in 2010. The prefecture’s tourism board is non-committal: “We’d like to consider the results of their deliberations for events and so forth.” Well, i personally wouldnt disagree on that proposal ^.^

The reaction on 2ch (maybe also intresting in this context) are however mixed:

These will probably encourage sex crimes.

Aren’t these uniforms unsightly? Their colours are designed for anime after all.

The uniforms are ripped off of ToHeart anyway.

Whichever way you look at it, these uniforms are from an eroge…

Tourism is for people coming into the prefecture. These look a huge nuisance to students.

Let me just go get my little sister transferred to a Saitama school…

Hi everyone out there, u probably think “this dude is a goner” or “this blog is dead”, but NO it isnt. In fact there was some real life which was taking my nerves and attention so I was unable to write. Anyhow I will go back to my usual self and write more again, since stuff keeps piling up otherwise ^^. We begin todays show with the great Lucky Star/The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi opening parody I found over at www.sankakucomplex.com (i just love their stuff).

You might notice that i use now a different player for the video. I like this one better as i can control its propertys way better then the one I used before, so I will use it from now on I think. Also i will switch from FLV (FlashVideo) to MP4 videos, so i can present u better quality video when I have a source that offers MP4. So i hope your internet connection is fast enough to keep up.

Just about all the Kyoto Animation anime characters (Haruhi, Lucky Star, Clannad, etc.) to date appear in this performance of the Haruhi OP, with the whole thing being executed in rather good quality.

Lucky Star – Hypno Star

This one is one of the less real great done AMVs. See for yourself! If u like it i suggest to get the original in HD.

Yuno has just begun school where she always wanted, Yamabuki High School. She moves out and into an apartment by herself in a complex called Hidamari-so, which is right in front of the school. There, she meets a classmate, Miyako, and a senior student, Hiro. Yuno’s days become hectic as she begins meeting the strange artists that live in her complex. Although she’s not used to her new life style, she begins to actualize her dream while being with these gentle friends. [this time its from AnimeNFO] What we have here is a light comedy which plays in a school setting but with the difference that we have here not the regular every-day school but a art school. This remind maybe a bit on stuff like Honey & Clover but its only focused on comedy. There is no romance stuff or drama at all, but the kowing viewer might find also some lil parodies on other animes like PaniPoni Dash or even on Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. But even without this knowlage u can enjoy this one as its not a parodie anime that needs lots of knowlage from other animes like for example Lucky Star. The whole series concentrate on the funny everyday life of the four girls and their friendship. Also quite funny is their teacher which have a cosplay complex but always deny that she do cosplay, desprite she says that its just cause she wants it. In some ways she is a bit childish and often gets punished for her weird ideas but all that add just another fun point to the whole thing. This anime can perfectly watched aside as something for relax and laugh. With 12 episodes and 2 specials its not too short or too long. Also says AniDB that there will be a follow up season in the near future, and i really hope it get also subbed.

I catched in the internal channels a link with a funny parodie of the 2nd Death Note Opening with Lucky Star. Since I <3 Lucky Star (I didn’t had interest or fun in Death Note, not an anime I like to watch but that’s another topic^^) I don’t want to hide it from U, its quite funny… also it goes good with the music what i find interesting. I must admit i don’t know the original Death Note 2nd OP since i don’t watch the series, but well… i still have fun with it
