Breast Volleyball (Oppai Volleyball) – once again the japanese ppl shows that they’re creative and a bit perverted ^.^
I was a bit bored and for fun i was searching at youtube for the word “oppai”, since i came across some videos at Sankaku Complex featuring some random japanese school girl topless dancing to some anime soundtracks (hell i’m single and a man^^). Anyway, it was a really funny trailer and so i digged for more information. It appeared to be a funny movie (taking place in the 1979) about a 23 year old teacher (Haruka Ayase) with the name Mikako, that got transfered recently to a junior high school in Kitakyushu. Young and eager like she is, she immediately volunteers to train the boys volleyball team. Unfortunately for her, she finds the team to be made out of just 5 members that are rather obessed over girls then with practing. In an afford to motivate them and to get em to practice, she talked to promise em to flash them her “oppai” (breasts) if they win the big tournament. Like u can expect, such a promise works like a charm. With the perspective to see the well grown rack of their instructor, they immediatly become fiercely determined to become better volleyball players. Obviously Minako is nervous about the implications of ther promise, but also she is pleased with that completed change in the attitude of the players and even reagains her confidence that she once lost. The badside is that the school finds out about this “motivation” right before the first game, possibly jeopardizing her job. Its basedo n a novel by Munenoiri Mizuno. Its supposed to get released on April 18, 2009.

RPG, anime and a parodie ? Thats Dokidoki Densetsu:Mahoujin Guruguru for ya
If u enjoy or know at least a bit about RPGs (rollplay games), and looking for a nice parodie then this is the right one. Story begins with “heroism obsessed father” forcing his own son to become the “Hero” to save the world from the Emperor of Evil. He says that he himself wanted to be hero once, but it was too peaceful era and had no world to save! Well. Of course the son whose name is Nike (it is pronounced Nee- Keh, not Nike although his name is intentionally came after the brand name), refuses, saying that he’d rather be a wizard because it is a cool profession. His mother, disagrees and says “Whoever says whatever, the main character of the story is the Hero. It is a highly competetive profession, but once successful, it is THE job to have!” …and presents the chart titled ‘Asked to 100 village people!’ which has the reasons why being Hero is cooler than anything else…. Well. That is how the story starts. PS : Nike means “Victory” in greek. Nike is the name of the goddess of Victory. Can Nike and Kukuri truly become hero and heroine? Follow their journey and find out! [stolen from aniDB] Its a funny and not a bit boring anime, through that Kita-Kita dancer gets annyoing at some point … anyway enough spoilering^^. I liked pretty much all this little rpg parodies that are in the series, for example on Diablo 2 and the exp-drink u get in it, u find pretty much similar stuff. Also its kinda cute how Kukuri follows the first somehow hated but later beloved hero Nike. Also the always call him “yushasama” (it sounds like that, please dont smack me for writing it wrong), which means as much as hero. She also make a cute lil deamon, as she turns into one in the 2nd season sometime. It made me feeling nostalgic and remember when i played a lot of rpgs back in the days aswell as on some fantasy novels. The only thing that disappointed me a bit was that they never finished their quest, to destory the evil. But if u can live with that fact, its still a quite funny anime that fills some hours with a entertaining story. The Anime constist of 2 seasons (season 1 is 45 ep, done by a-keep; season 2 is 38 ep, particular done by a-keep (yet), the rest u get ripped) and one movie (done by a-keep). So its quite something to watch
.
Season 1 OP:
Season 1 ED:
There are more OP/EDs but u should still enjoy them when u watch the series
. These are for giving u a idea of the characters and the series.

a remake and the anger that it raises in me
yes, i failed to write the promised reviews last week. i even dont really remember what the fuck i did last week, so u can imagine it was a crappy one. Anyway, back to the point of this entry, i found today something that angered me heavily. See for yourself:
Many will probably say “great, finally a remake version of gits 1, i love it” or “yea, its finally worth watching” or similar, aka welcome it. But i say this is not a remake or improvement, its a great loss in my eyes and ruins what gits movie 1 stand for. Back in the days when it came out, it was a technological mile stone in animation, it showed stuff that wasnt there before like combination of 2d foregrounds with 3d backgrounds and such. Especially its perfectness was greatness as u saw such in other movies/series/watever before back then maybe but always really always it was flawed. The cg was not good enough integrated in the whole pictures so it was kinda outstanding. Basically my point is that this is one of the movies that never should have been touched, they only thing i would probably had wished for would have been a better mastered HD version on BluRay as the current one have room for improvement through there is worse like the R2 BluRay of Perfect Blue which have scenes with quality below VHS particulary. I dont like the idea to earse the memory what gits has brought us. Sure this movie aged and also the quality isnt up 2 date anymore but still it is something, something real great and it have to look as it is in the old real version. I loved and love it still, it raises great respect and emotions in me every time i watch it. The music alone can make me cry in joy and reverence, so i cant and never will fully accept this so called “remake”. It makes me even a bit sad to see that they try to squeeze out money of great old stuff by turn it into “modern versions”. I didnt liked the new nge version, and i even dont like the idea of gits redone. Well thats my point and my thoughts on this.

Appleseed Ex Machina, the CG festival

They keept going in the same manner as the first movie but what i missed was the great music like the first had. Again i was irritated by the CG, it is good done but still it dont feel natural enough for me. I liked in cases of CG the first movie effective better but i guess that comes from the fact that it was somehow “smoother” and not as sharp as the 2nd which probably have covered the unnatural feeling of the CG a bit better. As for the story itself i quite enjoyed it through it got a bit weak on the end, it could have been a bit more thrilling. But overall it was ok and worth watching. The characters grown older and got a gained a better presents from that, especially i was noticing that on Hitomi as she wasnt acting and looking like a child anymore but behaved more mature. Also u saw the maturing technology-wise as Buriareosu got a improved cybernetic body and a somewhat different lookout with that. Also i sense difference in his agility. Well, to sum all up it wasnt perfect but ok. It had some good point but the CG again caused me some problems. Also the music somhow lacked the hightligh’s from the first movie, as there was not great track in my eyes.

This list is based on the ANN News Article and what could be find in the google cache from the ICv2 webpage. If the cache fails i found also a screenshot of the news on anisuki. Here is it, see for yourself. The original ICv2 page seems to got taken down some hous later for a unkown reason.
This list practically includes all licences ADV got through the financial deal with the the Sojitz Corporation (more details on that deal can be found on ICv2 here) in late June of 2006. Since then all properties that was announced (and released) by ADV coming from various anime studios were all licensed through the ARM Corporation. The ARM Corporation itself is a subsidiary of Japan Contents Investment which is a investor group which consist of ojitz Corporation, the Development Bank of Japan and KlockWorx. In a letter to the retailers ADV said: “ADV has suspended certain elements of its former alliance with ARM Corporation, which financed the acquisition of these titles. ADV is working closely with various constituencies with the goal of restoring most if not all of these properties to our release schedule at a later date to the extent possible.” This do not only affect completed series like Nerima Daikon Brothers, Guyver, and 009-1 but also particular released series like Pumpkin Scissors, Kurau Phantom Memory, and Red Garden aswell as only announced series like Devil May Cry, Gurren Lagann and 5 Centimeters per Second. Well i says this is no good news. I hope i can archive more information about this matter soonish and keep u informed about it. Also this was the think i mentioned for ADV UK’s weird behavior, as this should also affect their programs.

Cowboy Bepop. I understand the Cowboy but still riddle about Bepop <(?.?)>
Once upon a time, in New York City in 1941… at this club open to all comers to play, night after night, at a club named “Minston`s Play” House in Harlem, they play jazz sessions competing with each other. Young jazz men with a new sense are gathering. At last they created a new genre itself. They are sick and tired of the conventional fixed style jazz. They`re eager to play jazz more freely as they wish then… in 2071 in the universe… The bounty hunters, who are gathering in the spaceship BEBOP, will play freely without fear of risky things. They must create new dreams and films by breaking traditional styles. The work, which becomes a new genre itself, will be called… “COWBOY BEBOP” [stolen like always from AniDB] Hell, its quite a good anime. I mean i was seeing this one years back and was saying wtf… leave me alone, but now i got me. I’m not saying its great and perfect and stuff, but its good. Its the kind of Space/Action Anime i like and its rare. Its one of these non-space war but space-action animes like well it reminded me on Dirty Pair, which is also a space-action anime. I mean usually when u search for space action/adventure u get these WOW-WAR anime, where two sides fight against eachother and u find yourself with your hero inbetween these. But thats not it, sure i watch such but i like the different stuff more
. What made me watching it, was the fact i got my hands on the 720p release of the Bepop Movie by THORA. And it made me want more. I just loved the character combination. U got the ex-police man Jet, a quite agressive but more strategic char, then u have Spike, the dude that can get quite hotheaded but still if he wants something he’s like his partner Jet, he dont let it go and catch it. The next that joins the party is Faye, a woman that loves the play and cause of this and other circumstance have her lil’ probs^^, she can be nice but inside she’s a devil. And last but not least we have Ed (Eddo), the hacker girl, she is quite crazy and if u see her u think she’s just a dumb kid but she have her skills. Beside her way of beeing cause a lot of fun. Also they got during the series Ein, a dog thats also special in his own ways. This party gets on bounty hunt and that is definitly quite entertaining. During the series they try to prepare the big end and do well… but in the ed they mess up. it should be some how dramatic but for the real deal in dramatic stuff u need more then 2 episodes. But well the rest of the series make quite up for this fact, maybe i’m not sensetive enought to get the ending in the right way !? who knows… me not  . What i liked at the ending of the series was the saying of that old indian: “Do not fear death. Death is always at your side. When you show fear, it will spring at you faster then light. If you do not show fear, it will only gently look over you…”. Its one of this worldly wisdoms u can find in anime. I like such stuff, that also the cause why i love xxxHolic. Also the music of this anime is extreme stylish and very good done. It matches most the time perfect and gives u that good feeling that i find most the time on older anime series (and with older i mean even older ones as this). Anyway i hope i could gave u some insight and raise your intrest for it. Here like usual u get the trailers, this time english dubbed, didnt found japanese dub/eng sub ones. First is for the series, 2nd is for the movie (and i like the dub for the movie trailer, the voices are matching… rare but with these i’m ok).
Enjoy…
