The summer of a man’s boyhood memories continue. Still on the cusp between childhood and being a man, he has linked with the ghost of a young woman from the World War 2 era. She, and the ghosts of other young ladies from that time, continue adventures alongside their linked partners, learning more about each other and travelling through time via their supernatural connection. While he struggles to see his crush on her come to fruition, meanwhile his friend- a girl his age, pretending to be a boy- seeks his attention as well. [taken from ANN] Well, to say it in short words they go on where S1 left off. Hajime still fails hard to realise that Jun is a girl. Even after seeing her basically naked he still fails… the is so bold. Poor Hajime. But there is even more to laugh and a lots of new parodies on older animes everyone knows. And as far as I can tell we probably get also here a S3 since the summer dont end with this season. But also we get to see chibi Arashi, she is so cute <3. If u enjoyed S1, you will definitly luv S2.

Thirteen year old Yasaka Hajime is a boy staying at his grandfather’s house during his summer vacation. One day, he meets a sixteen year old girl named Arashi at a café and it is love at first sight – at least for him. He decides to start working part-time there, in order to be close to Arashi. But Arashi is not just a regular girl; she claims to be a ghost possessing him. And if that isn’t enough, it turns out that with Hajime’s help Arashi can travel to the past. But she’s not the only one with a weird past; many other characters working in the café have a particular secret not everyone knows … [stolen from aniDB] First of all, i really enjoyed this one. It begins pretty straight without too much introduction, rather it lets u get to know the chars while the story unfolds. The team made of Arashi and Hajime make the show moving, and they a pair that u will like. Hajime is pretty outgoing, says straight what he thinks (I kinda like that). Arashi is a bit classy but still not too backholding girl either. She can keep it up to Hajime, through sometimes she is a lil bit dull, but that only adds to the fun factor. Hajimes outgoing characters goes to the Juns regret. During circumstances that happens in the beginning, when they all get to know eachother, she have to pretend to be a boy. They work out that fact during the series pretty good, and also use it good as source for various fun things. What also was very much to my liking was the way they series is drawn/animated as it reminds you (those who know it) of the good old animes from years ago but it also feature modern-day effects. It’s a lovly combination of the old and the new, not only limited to the animation itself but also the music does it’s part. One effect that I particular like as it’s rarly used is that they even animated the dust that gets visible in the sunlight, an effect when it gets right used (which is given here) can add very much to the atmosphere of the scene aswell it’s beautiful. They also included some “real life” effect scenes where they torture a lil model scene. Its may be a lil play on some other animes, like macademy wasshoi (they used modelling clay scenes as censorship) or maybe even on Honey & Clover, where they used modelling clay and various other things to make an animation with it (through this is just an assumption of mine). Another deeper parodie might is Jun. Some of you might remember Happyness! (i tend to call it trappyness), where one of the main chars also was called Jun, just that he was actually a guy that always dressed up as girl. Well there is even much more parodies to find and enjoy, some you have to figure by a specific catch-phrase or a description, others are very clear. The most parodies are to be found in ep 13 where the chars regulary change their outfits, and most of them are parodies on some other series. I figured a few but hell, its too much for knowing all. The anime itself tends also to parodie itself a lot, especially their time-traveling. They always end every few episodes philosphing about the “time-paradox” as in what happens when u do this in the past. Or what happens to the spoiled milk that u take back and exchange it for the one thats still good. Sounds weird ? Yes but its very funny made up. Sure even this one have its 2 more honest episodes but it all fits nice together so it makes a funny sometimes a bit weird feeling enjoyable piece of anime and I look forward to watch season 2 thats currently running. If u enjoy or know at least a bit about RPGs (rollplay games), and looking for a nice parodie then this is the right one. Story begins with “heroism obsessed father” forcing his own son to become the “Hero” to save the world from the Emperor of Evil. He says that he himself wanted to be hero once, but it was too peaceful era and had no world to save! Well. Of course the son whose name is Nike (it is pronounced Nee- Keh, not Nike although his name is intentionally came after the brand name), refuses, saying that he’d rather be a wizard because it is a cool profession. His mother, disagrees and says “Whoever says whatever, the main character of the story is the Hero. It is a highly competetive profession, but once successful, it is THE job to have!” …and presents the chart titled ‘Asked to 100 village people!’ which has the reasons why being Hero is cooler than anything else…. Well. That is how the story starts. PS : Nike means “Victory” in greek. Nike is the name of the goddess of Victory. Can Nike and Kukuri truly become hero and heroine? Follow their journey and find out! [stolen from aniDB] Its a funny and not a bit boring anime, through that Kita-Kita dancer gets annyoing at some point … anyway enough spoilering^^. I liked pretty much all this little rpg parodies that are in the series, for example on Diablo 2 and the exp-drink u get in it, u find pretty much similar stuff. Also its kinda cute how Kukuri follows the first somehow hated but later beloved hero Nike. Also the always call him “yushasama” (it sounds like that, please dont smack me for writing it wrong), which means as much as hero. She also make a cute lil deamon, as she turns into one in the 2nd season sometime. It made me feeling nostalgic and remember when i played a lot of rpgs back in the days aswell as on some fantasy novels. The only thing that disappointed me a bit was that they never finished their quest, to destory the evil. But if u can live with that fact, its still a quite funny anime that fills some hours with a entertaining story. The Anime constist of 2 seasons (season 1 is 45 ep, done by a-keep; season 2 is 38 ep, particular done by a-keep (yet), the rest u get ripped) and one movie (done by a-keep). So its quite something to watch .

Based on a shoujo manga by Nakahara Aya, serialised in Margaret. Risa and Otani are always being laughed at as the comedy duo. Risa, a girl, is taller than the average girl, and Otani, a boy, is shorter than the average boy. The two are always bickering and even their teacher sees them as a comedy act. But as their friendship develops, so does Risa’s feelings toward Otani. [taken off AniDB] It was a funny romance anime, which brought a fresh feeling and new fun to me. Here you have not the “I know him from my childhood and now still love him” or “I love him because he helped me with something” or similar. No, here those 2 had in the beginning not even the slightest intention to get together, but develop a relation in a quite “normal” way, so not some extreme stuff happends, no psychic drama. Its just a story of a romance developing over the time u spend in school in a way that I consider as not too unrealistic. That means not its getting boring, instead u get lots of fun. It begins with the lil problem already meantioned in the description, that they always get considered as the comedy duo “all-hanishin kyoshin” (forgive me if i wrote it wrong). That comes from Risa beeing like 1 1/2 head bigger then Otani, and the concidence they act at some times similar, like its a practiced comedy (but it isnt). It goes on with the stuff u can drag out of this difference in high but not limits itself to it (this is where the “complex” in the title comes from^^). You have also her friend Nobou (which damn reminds me on Ren from Super GALs) and her boyfriend (he is not the brightest but well…^^), they also cause a lot of situations and try to help Risa and Otani (mainly Risa) to develop the romance.What you shouldnt expect from this one is any fanservice scenes as its no fanservice anime. That makes it in my eyes even better and refreshing, since i watched too much of those romance fanservice comedy stuff… Another thing is that one should watch this one with an open eyes as you can find here and there some little parodies again on other animes^^. All together a nice and entertaining romance anime, so if you like this genere you probably want to give this one a try.

Yuno has just begun school where she always wanted, Yamabuki High School. She moves out and into an apartment by herself in a complex called Hidamari-so, which is right in front of the school. There, she meets a classmate, Miyako, and a senior student, Hiro. Yuno’s days become hectic as she begins meeting the strange artists that live in her complex. Although she’s not used to her new life style, she begins to actualize her dream while being with these gentle friends. [this time its from AnimeNFO] What we have here is a light comedy which plays in a school setting but with the difference that we have here not the regular every-day school but a art school. This remind maybe a bit on stuff like Honey & Clover but its only focused on comedy. There is no romance stuff or drama at all, but the kowing viewer might find also some lil parodies on other animes like PaniPoni Dash or even on Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. But even without this knowlage u can enjoy this one as its not a parodie anime that needs lots of knowlage from other animes like for example Lucky Star. The whole series concentrate on the funny everyday life of the four girls and their friendship. Also quite funny is their teacher which have a cosplay complex but always deny that she do cosplay, desprite she says that its just cause she wants it. In some ways she is a bit childish and often gets punished for her weird ideas but all that add just another fun point to the whole thing. This anime can perfectly watched aside as something for relax and laugh. With 12 episodes and 2 specials its not too short or too long. Also says AniDB that there will be a follow up season in the near future, and i really hope it get also subbed.

Your Death

Here it is finally after i watched the last episodes (i NEVER will touch GG, go Oyasumi!). Pani Poni is a gagmanga like Azumanga Daioh (we all know and most probably love this one) or Sensei no Ojikan. It’s the first commercial manga by Hikawa Hekiru who was previously active in the doujin scene. The 11 year old Miyamoto Rebecca becomes the new teacher of a classroom which is full of weirdos. Despite her cute looks she`s a little beast and can be pretty sarcastic and offensive. The school is not safe anymore now that she`s in charge of a class and her students, Himeko, Ichijou, Rei and a white rabbit who took a liking to Rebecca help her to rough up the school and the neighbour-class with its teacher “ojiichan”. Join them now in their daily life full of gags and nonsense. [stolen from AniDB] I had really much fun with this one. Its an intresting mix of characters we got here, they’re more intensive in their ways than Azumanga Daioh. Also we got the always a bit angry but genious kid teacher Becky, she is lovly ^^. Nah, this no loli or typical school one like u get at every corner. They make fun of fucking much stuff, its extreme much. Also its not only limited to anime and manga but to all u can integrate into a manga/anime.  Thats also why i was pretty thankful to ADV for include their so called “AD Vidnotes” cause u really need these references to understand some jokes/parodies. Also what made me pretty happy was they also included all the signs and stuff in the background. They not only integrated them but also gave them a styling, a design, not the always used Tahoma or Arial. I can really suggest getting the US DVD if u liked this one, its worth the money what u get! If u maybe know the scanlation u notify the Anime use a slight different character design but i dont consider this bad, cause they took over the way of behave from the characters which is more important. Rei is still the class whitch and Himeko is nuts like before (damn i really love this 2). Give this one a chance and u will get really a lot stuff to laugh about, i always cry tears of laughting when i rewatch it.
